The hours for the use of the dumpsters during the winter are Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In addition, during the summer, the dumpsters will be open Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8 :00 p.m. Dates and hours may vary due to holidays and other circumstances.

The dumpsters may be used by Mount Hope city residents only. You must have a sticker to use the dumpsters.

Dump stickers may be obtained from the city clerk. The dump sticker must be affixed to the windshield on the lower corner of the driver’s side in order to use the dump. Grounds for refusal if the dump sticker is not affixed to the windshield in the designated location. Remove the backing and use adhesion on the sticker to apply to the windshield. Taping, laminating and any other means of securing the sticker to the windshield will not be allowed. To obtain a replacement sticker, a portion of the original sticker must be submitted as well as paying a fee of $5.00/sticker

The city will make efforts to have an employee at the dump site. If the gate is closed there shall be NO dumping of any waste. Citizens shall not open the gate, shall not dump any trash or waste on the ground or leave trash on the premises when the area is not supervised by the city. Residents are not allowed on the premises when there is no attendant on duty. All fees will be charged to the cities’ utility bill. The City has total authority to refuse anyone from dumping.

Prohibited materials include oil or petroleum products, shingles, chemicals, batteries, tires, paint, chemical containers are prohibited. No mattresses, box springs, telephones, televisions, computers, appliances or metal burning barrels. Brush and trees are exempt.

Included but not limited to carload or pickup truck beds $20.00/per haul; truck and trailer combination will $30.00/per haul; no semi-truck trailers or commercial trailers will be allowed.

The dump is not intended for the use of contractors, landscapers and tree trimming service providers, unless prior arrangements are made with the city.
