A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF MOUNT HOPE, KANSAS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 1977 SUPP. 25-2108(a), SO AS NOT TO REQUIRE THE CITY TO HOLD A PRIMARY ELECTION FOR CITY OFFICE POSITIONS.

Section 1.  That the City of Mount Hope, Kansas, a city of the third class, who by virtue of the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby exempts itself from the provision of K.S.A. 1977 Supp. 25-2108(a) and thereby makes said statute inapplicable to said city, eliminating the requirement of said statute for primary elections for city office positions.
